The Bremen Research Cluster for Dynamics in Logistics (
LogDynamics) was member of several ERASMUS MUNDUS projects. The goal of Log
Dynamics is to strengthen the field of logistics by interdisciplinary research in international consortia and by offering doctoral education within this field of research. Log
Dynamics itself is a cooperative network of research groups which includes five faculties of the
University of Bremen:
• Business Studies/Economics
• Production Engineering
• Mathematics/Computer Science
• Physics/ Electrical Engineering
• Law
Associated partners are the
BIBA – Bremer Institut für Produktion und Logistik GmbH, the Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics (
ISL), and the Jacobs University Bremen GmbH.
The International Graduate School for Dynamics in Logistics (
IGS) is the structured doctoral training program of Log
Dynamics. It started in 2005. The working language is English. The IGS meets the challenges of globalization through practice oriented research within a scope of interdisciplinary and cross-cultural cooperation. Its objective is to foster excellence in education and research by providing an optimal environment. The IGS is open for all ERASMUS MUNDUS guest students and researchers.
Welcome for an ERASMUS MUNDUS mobility from Asia to LogDynamics at the University of Bremen are students and researchers who are interested in research according to the field "Dynamics in Logistics". Due to the fact that the University of Bremen only offers a few study programs in English, LogDynamics offers any applicant an individual research project, in English, and to work under individual supervision. Fellows will be integrated into the IGS and into the working group of her/his supervisor. One or two doctoral candidates of the IGS or of LogDynamics are going to serve as supervisors (under the guidance of her/his PhD supervisor) for any Bachelor or Master student. In Germany PhDs, PostDocs and TTs are seen as independent researchers.
Rules, offers, and conditions of the numerous partner universities at the ERASMUS MUNDUS projects are heterogeneous according to the policies of the countries and individual institutions. The specific rules and requirements of the University of Bremen are available in the above mentioned pages. To learn more about the offers of the IGS, please follow the links on the left handed column. Feel free to investigate our offers and conditions, and the list of the members of
LogDynamics and of the
